Helical Line Products Company is a manufacturer of spiral formed wire products. Established in 1964, the company has grown to become a leading global supplier to the power and telephone industry.

Our product line consists of items that are used primarily for the protection and support of conductors and strand. This includes armor rods, conductor deadends, conductor ties, strand grips and splices.

Armor rods and line guards are used for protection of the conductor at the support points. The line guard is used for short spans and will also restore the mechanical and electrical integrity of a conductor when 25% of the outer strands are damaged. The armor rod can be used when less than 50% of the outer strands are damaged.

Helical splices and dead ends were developed from the inherent ability of the helical wire to grip the conductor or strand. Initially, these products had to be very long to provide the frictional holding strength. Soon grit was developed which reduced the length and material required. Conductive grits were added for aluminum, copper and bronze splices.
